Anatomy Of A Blog - Why?

Posted in Anatomy of a Blog, Starting Out on February 9th, 2008 by DB

What better way to learn about building, maintaining and managing your website but to actually witness and be part of the entire process from the very beginning. When I started this blog, the main aim was to educate and share with you various aspects of managing your domain. The more I thought about it the more it made sense to actually do a live case study of this very blog itself. Be a witness/spectator as I take you through the creation, setting up, optimization and daily management of myTradeDomain.com from its very inception.

I have created a separate category called Anatomy of a Blog“  All posts under this category will be a show and tell about myTradeDomain.com, blogs and blogging. While these posts will predominantly focus on this blog and blogs in general, most of the literature should be applicable to any website.

Though its been 2 weeks since I started this blog, I’ve really only spent about 4 days on setting up the blog. I plan to revisit each action in detail so that anybody else out there has more than something to start with.  I’m glad i thought of this when I did and not 6 months down the road.

p.s: I liked the category name so much that I went ahead and registered the domain :) Since I have no definite plan for this domain yet, I’ve ignored my earlier advice here and here.
